About SavDown
SavDown is an independent online tool that makes it easy to save public Facebook videos and Reels to any device, in a few clicks and without installing anything.
Our mission
We believe that saving a video you like should be simple. Many people want to watch videos offline, on the bus, on a plane or in areas with poor connectivity, or keep a copy of content they created themselves. Our mission is to offer a fast, free and respectful tool that works on every device and in many languages.
We pay particular attention to speed and simplicity: the site is lightweight, works well on modest smartphones and slow connections, and contains no misleading buttons or forced pop-ups.
How SavDown works
When you paste a link, our server asks Facebook for the public information about the video: its title, its preview image and the list of available video files. We then show you buttons to download the HD or SD version.
The video file is transferred directly to your device. Nothing is recorded on our servers: we do not keep a copy of the video, nor a history of the links you analyse.
Our commitments
Privacy: no account, no Facebook login and no video storage. Transparency: clear pages explaining our rules, our use of cookies and how to contact us. Respect for creators: SavDown only works with public videos, and we respond quickly to any copyright notice.
Independence
SavDown is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Facebook or Meta Platforms, Inc. “Facebook” is a trademark of its respective owner and is used here only to describe the compatibility of our service.
